Pick your moments

You don't need forty-seven events. The Masters gets the highest signup rate every year, no contest. The other three majors work if you want a quarterly rhythm. One big regular-season event — the Players, the Memorial — is plenty if your office doesn't want a full calendar. One major done well beats a season-long league half the company forgot to enter.

Formats that don't require a tutorial

Four tiers, one pick per tier, combined to-par, lowest score wins. Everyone gets a favorite, a solid pick, and a longshot. Takes two minutes to explain in Slack.

Pick six, count four is the step up if a few people in the office actually follow golf — two bad picks get dropped, which keeps casual players from feeling eliminated by Friday. Skip snake drafts unless your HR department is mostly single-digit handicaps.

Eight to twenty-five people is the sweet spot. Smaller than that and you might as well do a one-pick pool. Bigger than thirty and you'll spend all week chasing picks unless you simplify the rules.
